MW3, its Finally got Competition (MW3 vs Battlefield 3)

Well a couple months ago we got confirmation that there will be a Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3, a game which I will be skipping. (shocked gasps) Why you ask? Because besides the fact that the Call of Duty series is on a 2 game shit streak, there's a new game that is going to be popping up in shelves this fall season, the much anticipated and rumored Battlefield 3.

So why should you get battlefield 3, if you're already a fan of the series I dont even need to say anything, but basically Battlefield has had in my opinion, the best map designs (big nice maps) better gun balance, and ultimately a fan-base that actually respects the game, instead of exploiting its every flaw and ruining the game for the people who actually want to have some fun. If you are one of those people who likes to camp and find horribly overpowered guns to whore in call of duty, DO NOT get this game, you'll just get pissed off, and you'll piss off the fans of the series, who will shoot you in the head repeatedly until you're character decides that hes had enough and just curls up into fetal position for the rest of the map crying.

If you are one of the people like me who is fed up with COD's shit, and want a good game that you will actually enjoy for a while, instead of hastily selling it to some weird guy parked outside your house that answered your craigslist ad (best 30 bucks ive ever earned, see ya black ops) Then skip modern warfare 3, and pick up Battlefield 3 this October (Yep it comes out a month before COD too) Maybe you'll even meet me on there, ill be the one cursing out Mr. camp of duty.

Tablet Hell

Okay, so unless you've been living under a rock for the last year, you've probably noticed that tablets have been gaining in numbers and gaining in popularity. Today we're going to go in-depth on the tablet mania that has been sweeping the nation. Strap yourselves in folks, this's going to be a long one.

First of all, before we go in depth on how tablets are now running the digital world (for the time being) let's dive into the history of how tablets got started. Don't worry im not going to go back to the 90's and argue about who made the first tablet and all that, i'm just going to take a look at what started the craze, the iPad. The iPad, apples way of "revolutionizing everything...again" I still think its a worthless POS, seeing that my 300 dollar netbook can do all the ipad can and more. Regardless of what I think, the iPad took off like a skyrocket, being snatched up by blonde stupid soccer moms, rich "Too cool for you" teenagers, Apple fanboys, and iJustine. (I swear, she must've bought a couple hundred just so she can drool on the boxes)
Upon seeing the rampant success of the ipad, other companies such as Samsung jumped in with tablets running windows OS or android OS. These tablets were somewhat sucessful, so even MORE companies jumped on the bandwagon, and now we have a sea of tablets each running their own OS's and the only one thats really still selling is the iPad.

Now you may be asking "But why do these tablets that are more powerful and compatible then the iPad be dying out while the iPad sells millions. Well the answer to that is the audience, remember the soccer mom's and teenagers earlier? These people are the audience that was brought in by the iPad, and those are the people who are buying them all up (it's also reported that iJustine is trying to fill a swimming pool with them) The tech conscious people (like me) know better and are the only ones buying the good tablets, the problem is theres not enough of us and we dont have enough money.

chromebook, the next evolution in googles descent toward financial hell.

So i heard today about the google Chromebook (blatent macbook ripoff?, watch it google, you dont want to end up like samsung) so basically you take google chrome, a free web browser, put it into a computer, take out the optical drive, harddrive, cram an atom processor into it, and, get this, take out the OS. Thats right people, if you buy the chromebook, you are essentially overpaying for the google chrome webbrowser, a screen and a keyboard. basically a crappy non-touchscreen, non-jailbreakable ipad with no internal memory. Want to watch a video, plug in a usb drive, want to transfer files? plug in a usb drive, want to store files? upload them to googles cloud servers, where your data will promptly be handed over to advertisers who pay to look at it.
